Positano offers the best combination of exclusivity and activities. It is smaller than the larger towns such as Sorrento and is perfectly located to give you access to the many other towns along the coastline that you will want to visit such as Amalfi, Ravello and Cetara. It is just a 30 minute transfer to the islands of Capri, the ideal destination for a day trip.

The closest city is Naples, which will be your entry point whether arriving by air or train.  It takes between 45 minutes to an hour by car to reach Positano.

You are spoilt for choice with a range from Villas or villa style apartments through to hotels ranging from 4 star through to B&B’s.

Whatever your preferences or interests Positano Vacations will be happy to make the arrangements for you from hiking or diving to trying your hand at a cooking or painting lesson.

A short distance away is Mt. Vesuvius and the intriguing Pompeii which makes for a superb day trip if you are interested in a bit of ancient history.

So there are plenty of opportunities to work off some the guaranteed calories you will be gaining from the mouth-watering local cuisine, wine and limoncello, the local liqueur made with Amalfitana lemons.

Positano Vacations are able to take care of your every need from the time that you land at Naples airport or the train station. The summer season runs from May through to early October.

If your preference is for a villa or apartment booking you should be aware that in high season the minimum booking is for a week – usually running from Saturday – Saturday.
