CAPRI

Capri’s reputation as a popular playground of the rich and famous dates back to AD 27 when the Roman Emperor Augustus made the island his private playground, and retirement location!

The twin islands of Capri and Anacapri are about 5km from the mainland at the closest point, and is only 6 km long and 2.7km wide.  All hydrofoils and ferries arrive at the Marina Grande and the cable car is the best way to get into town.  Day trippers have to be off the island by around 6 pm.
Despite the limited size of the island there is a wealth of coves and beautiful sites to visit and when you run out of steam there is no better way to catch your breath than in the main square where you can enjoy a superb meal whilst celebrity watching.
Positanovacations have found a number of superb villas if you would like to spend a night or two, or alternatively we can arrange a private day trip cruise to Capri from Positano, taking in the wonderful grottos and coastline at your leisure with more than enough time to explore the island on your own.

CAPRI DAY TRIP
Your Capri day trip starts at around 9:30am from the Positano jetty. Rather than joining the masses on a ferry to Capri, you will be enjoying a leisurely private tour of the numerous grottos and sights around the island. Should you decide to take a dip in the crystalline waters along the way or in Grotta Verde (Green Grotto), towels are provided. You will have most of the day free to see the sights of Capri and do as you wish. You can camp out in La Piazzetta and watch the rich and famous passing through, take in the historical and geographic sites in an open-air taxi, or visit the numerous famous-name boutiques that will transport you to Rodeo Drive or the Champs-Élysées. You will start your return trip to Positano at around 4pm, viewing the amazing sights along the way one last time.
